Our first Entertaining History lecture of 2012 features Dr. Kimberly Porter of the UND History Department. “Practically Imperishable: White Bronze Cemetery Monuments in Grand Forks County,” describes White Bronze, an affordable option for cemetery monuments in the late nineteenth century. Some cemeteries banned their use, however. Examples can be found locally and have a unique and interesting history.
Free and open to the Public.
